Resumen
El presente artículo realiza una crítica a La Carta de Atenas de Le Corbusier desde la metodología y los principios de la Escuela Austriaca de Economía. A partir del marco praxeológico se examina la raíz epistemológica del urbanismo racionalista o funcionalista, su confianza en la planificación central y su pretensión de sustituir el orden espontáneo de la ciudad por la pla- nificación urbana. Se analizan las consecuencias de esta visión constructivista en la configuración de modelos urbanos como Brasilia, Chandigarh, así como los modelos o proyectos de ciudad de Le Corbusier y otros arquitectos del movimiento moderno
